Jakob was part of the team responsible for a major acquisition of NSW pine forests by a major US forestry player, Global Forest Partners LP. This transaction involved over 350 separate properties and over 180 separate conveyances.
Jakob has acted for various university and educational clients (The University of New South Wales, The University of Technology Sydney, The Sydney University, Notre Dame University, Southern Cross University, Charles Sturt University and Pymble Ladies College) in relation to public private partnerships, disposal of redundant property, leasing, Crown lands and development advice as well as issues arising out of student accommodation.
Jakob advises some of Australia's biggest blue chip companies on the development, relocation and/or consolidation of commercial office space. Jakob also manages a major national leasing and tenancy practice, involving commercial, retail, banking and telecommunications.
Jakob has advised on some of Australia's largest property transactions involving corporate due diligences and acquisitions/disposals (airports, eco-tourism resorts and ventures, including plantations and wind farms and property portfolios), public private partnerships (universities), joint ventures (telecommunications) and the relocation/leasing consolidation of commercial office space for blue chip companies.

Jakob has been involved in numerous transactions for REITs, in the commercial and industrial space, including acting for Charter Hall, Morgan Stanley Real Estate on its multi billion dollar acquisition of Investa Property Group and the acquisition by DEXUS of the Colonial industry property portfolio.
Jakob acts for SingTel Optus on all of the property related aspects of mobile network and data and fibre deployment, advising on leasing, facilities management, strategic acquisition and landlord related issues.
Jakob advised SingTel Optus on the property issues, including site access and rollout arrangements associated with its $700 million strategic alliance with Vodafone Australia to share a third generation (3G) mobile network across Australia.
Jakob advised SingTel Optus in its telecommunications installations at CrossCity Tunnel, Lane Cove Tunnel, Epping/Chatswood Tunnel, Tugun Bypass, Perth Rail and other major infrastructure sites.
Jakob has acted for eco tourism, wind farms, airlines, private entities and public institutions in the tourism and leisure sector, including acquisitions and disposals, corporate due diligence, public private partnerships and liquor licensing.
