Minter Ellison's cartels unit has extensive expertise in domestic and global cartel investigations, leniency applications, enforcement proceedings, and class actions. We advise clients on the application of the cartel conduct provisions, and ensure that arrangements with competitors, including joint ventures, do not fall foul of the Competition and Consumer Act.

We represent companies and individuals in cartel investigations and subsequent proceedings brought by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), and follow-up damages and class actions. We help clients to obtain conditional immunity and leniency from the ACCC and/or the Commonwealth Department of Public Prosecution (as necessary), and to comply with the ongoing obligations of an immunity applicant.
