Minter Ellison wins 'Law Firm of the Year' Award for an unprecedented fourth time
12 August 2011
Last night, 800 guests at the Australian insurance and finance industry awards ceremony celebrated with us as we were presented with the Law Firm of the Year Award for the fourth time (2007, 2008, 2009 and now 2011). This prestigious award is judged on understanding of the market, responsiveness to the needs of companies that operate in this sector, provision of education and information to the industry, innovation, commitment to pro-bono work and leadership.
The win recognises the strength and breadth of our national cross-divisional practice – encompassing insurance, dispute resolution, financial services and corporate amongst other areas – and demonstrates yet again that Minter Ellison is an industry leader in Australia. The award was presented by ANZIIF (Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance) and Asia Insurance Review.
The judges said they were impressed by our firm’s deep understanding of the insurance and finance sectors, appreciation of the issues and challenges facing organisations, and ability to adapt to changing client needs, in particular our approach to secondments during the GFC. Our focus on professional standards and the level and quality of the insurance and finance-focused education that we provide, both to the industry and our own staff, also won accolades from the judges.
Pamela Madafiglio (Partner, Sydney) accepted the award on behalf of the firm.
