Sarah Lark
Partner, Sydney
I am an experienced insurance and litigation lawyer with a speciality in health law (medical malpractice, coronial law, regulatory complaints and clinical governance advisory). Health law is the major focus of my expertise and I service a broad range of health care providers in the private and public sectors. I also assist health clients with risk management strategies and responding to crisis events.

I also have extensive expertise in the areas of life insurance claims, general liability, professional indemnity and discrimination law. These areas complement my health practice. My liability experience focuses mostly on NSW State Government clients, where my professional indemnity and life insurance experience includes providing legal services to many of Australia’s biggest financial institutions, as well as many trustees of large superannuation funds.

I am known for my litigation skills and strategy as well as assisting clients negotiate the challenging time of engaging with regulators, particularly my health clients when they are being investigated by the NSW State Coroner or the Health Care Complaints Commission. My focus is always on partnering with my clients to find workable and commercial solutions, while being ever mindful of the importance of managing possible risks to their reputations.
