We advised PetroChina - China's largest, and the world's second largest producer of oil and gas, on its development of three LNG terminals and its procurement of LNG into China. This involved drafting and negotiating the LNG Sale and Purchase Agreement and ancillary documentation. This was a complex deal which required innovative structuring in order to enhance the robustness of the LNG supply chain, as the seller's project was greenfield, requiring it to be financed on a limited resource basis. The buyers three terminals were also greenfield projects, as were the LNG ships.
