Biography
Robert Cook is a well known senior employment workplace relations lawyer with extensive national experience in the public and private sectors. As leader of the Employment and Workplace Relations practice in Canberra, Robert's expertise includes workplace agreements, restructuring classification reviews, unlawful terminations, unfair dismissals, occupational health and safety, equal employment opportunities, employee fraud, employee contracts and industrial disputes, and misconduct under the Public Service Act and common law.
Robert has a particular interest in representing bodies before relevant tribunals, and has appeared in the Federal Court, the Federal and State Industrial Relations Commission and the Supreme Court. He also conducts training on all aspects of his practice and advises overseas corporations on Australian industrial relations laws.
