Biography
Ben is a partner in our Melbourne Corporate group and specialises in mergers and acquisitions and equity capital markets work. He has a wide range of experience in the mining and resources and service industry sectors.
Ben is an accomplished practitioner in corporate insolvency transactions, successfully completing numerous divestments and other transactions for receivers and managers and external administrators. He ran sales processes in relation to Western Metals and Centaur Mining, acting for the receivers and managers, and played a lead role in the groundbreaking restructure and refloat of the former Pasminco Group as Zinifex, acting for the administrators.
Ben has extensive experience in private equity transactions, joint ventures, trade sales, capital raisings, schemes of arrangement, takeovers and all types of regulated and unregulated mergers and acquisitions. In the private equity sphere, Ben acted for DB Capital Partners on their exit from Loscam, Blackwood Capital Partners in numerous acquisitions and CCMP Capital Asia in their joint acquisition of the Godfreys Group.
