Biography
Peter is a construction law expert experienced in transactional and litigious aspects of construction projects. He has wide experience in drafting a wide range of contracts, and in all forms of dispute resolution including litigation, adjudication, mediation and arbitration, particularly international arbitration.
Peter advises on large scale infrastructure projects such as the Channel Deepening Project in Melbourne's Port Phillip Bay. He also acted in a policy role on secondment in the Victorian Department of Infrastructure in the Freight, Logistics and Marine Unit. In this role, he assisted in the formulation of policy, public discussion papers, and ministerial briefings concerning the form of the non-metropolitan rail access regime.
Peter was the lead lawyer in one of the largest litigation matters determined in Australia, the Fluor v Anaconda international arbitration, which was recognised in American Lawyer as one of the 10 largest arbitrations in the world in 2003-04.
