Biography
Peter is a construction and engineering dispute resolution expert. He has wide experience in all forms of dispute resolution including mediation, determinative mediation (or conciliation), adjudication under the Victorian, New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australian regimes, litigation, domestic arbitration and international arbitration.
Peter has acted for clients in a number of 'bet the company' disputes, including for Fluor Daniel in the Anaconda v. Fluor arbitration which was recognised by American Lawyer as one of the ten largest arbitrations in the world in 2003-2004, PT Thiess Indonesia concerning litigation in London and Brisbane relating to claims in excess of US$50 million, Major Projects Victoria concerning a range of Victorian projects and currently for the Thiess John Holland Joint Venture concerning disputes relating to the Eastlink PPP Project.
Peter has experience in international disputes including disputes conducted in India, South Africa, the UK and New Caledonia.
Peter seeks to identify innovative dispute resolution processes to resolve a dispute and to achieve a client's objectives in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
Peter also has an interest in green building and is a Green Building Council of Australia accredited professional.
