Career highlights:

  • Running a cost effective successful 'test case' in the Supreme Court of South Australia in relation to policy coverage issues arising from a dust diseases claim;
  • Conducting a large number of dust diseases claims for a number of employer's indemnity insurers achieving cost effective resolutions;
  • I have conducted a number of large personal injury claims involving catastrophic injuries, including motor vehicle accident claims, recovery claims and general liability claims;
  • Successfully defending a claim against a director for alleged breaches of director's duties in the Supreme Court of South Australia;
  • Defending a large number of complex life insurance claims involving forensic accounting evidence relating to the calculation of monthly benefits and fraudulent non-disclosure issues;
  • Representing several insurers in relation to volume personal injury and product liability claims arising from a national group of retail companies, including assisting insurers to implement strategies to resolve those claims in a timely and cost effective manner;
  • Acting for a University in relation to alleged breaches of the Racial Discrimination Act and Disability Discrimination Act and successfully defended the claim and obtained an order that the applicant be declared a vexatious litigant;
  • Representing an auditor in several suits of proceedings arising out of defalcations from a trust account totalling several million dollars.
