I am also involved in judicial reviews at the Supreme Court level, primarily focusing on judicial and administrative review of Medical Panel decisions made under the Accident Compensation Act 1985 (Vic).
- WorkSafe Victoria – acted in the landmark case of Hudspeth v Scholastic Cleaning and Consultancy Services Pty Ltd & Ors, where Justice Dixon of the Supreme Court launched a separate inquiry under the Civil Procedure Act 2010 (Vic) into the conduct of the plaintiff’s legal team and their expert witness, the first case of its kind to address such issues
- Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development – acted in and won a major court case (common law damages) involving a teacher stress claim
- Victorian Department of Education and Training – successfully represented the department in a matter that covered the application of the Crown Proceedings Act 1958 (Vic) and the obligations of plaintiffs to plead their cases in accordance with it, thereby confirming the law in this area
