- Acting for Salter Brothers across a range of transactions and sectors, including advising:
- the Salter Brothers and GIC joint venture in the establishment of its luxury retreat portfolio and all of the portfolio's acquisitions including the Spicers Retreats portfolio, Escarpment Group's luxury hotel portfolio, Bannisters portfolio, Kingsford Barossa and Milton Park;
- the flagship Salter Brothers Hotel Group;
- the Salter Brothers and GIC joint venture in the acquisition of 5-star hotel, Sofitel Adelaide;
- the Salter Brothers, GIC and Partners Group joint venture in connection with the Travelodge hotel portfolio acquired from Mirvac and NRMA, being the largest hotel real estate transaction in Australian history;
- Salter Brothers on the acquisition of Causeway Asset Management Limited, an Australian private credit fund manager with over A$600 million funds under management.
- Acted for EVT Ltd on its acquisition of the Pro-invest Hotels hotel management business.
- Acted for Fu Wah Group, a privately owned real estate developer and investment firm, on the sale of the Park Hyatt Melbourne to Thai hospitality group KS Hotels following a competitive sale process.
- Acted for private equity firm HEAL Partners in various matters including investments in Edge Early Learning.
- Acted for ENGIE on the sale of its Australian electric vehicle charging infrastructure business to EVE Australia Pty Ltd (majority owned by IntelliHub).
- Acted for George & Matilda Eyecare on its establishment and acquisitions of optometry practices across Australia (including chains Eyelines Optometrists and National Optical Care) and debt and equity capital raisings.
- Acted for Crystalbrook Collection (Ghassan Aboud Group) in various matters including its joint venture arrangements with TP Dynamic to build and operate Crystalbrook Aurora in Garema Place, Canberra.
- Acted for venture capital firm Exto Partners and its portfolio companies on a range of investments, acquisitions, disposals and restructures.
- Acted for Warren & Brown Technologies, Australian leader in telecommunications network connectivity, in its sale to Prysmian, global leader in the energy transition and digital transformation.
- Acted for US PE fund, ShoreView Industries, and founder shareholders in the sale of Rollease Acmeda to JM Family Enterprises Inc, a privately held company with over US$18 billion in revenue.
- Acted for H.E.S.T Australia Ltd as trustee for the Health Employees Superannuation Trust Australia (HESTA) on its investment in the holding company of the Citadel Group, a global software and services group specialising in health, defence and large enterprise deployments.
- Acted for Cerberus Capital Management on the disposal of a portfolio of IHG-branded hotels and other branded hotel assets, including the sale of 17 hotels to Marathon Asset Management which was the largest portfolio transaction in the UK following the commencement of the COVID-19 pandemic. - Acted for US PE fund, American Industrial Partners, on the US$1.23 billion acquisition of the Moly-Cop group of companies from Arrium Group (under voluntary administration), the acquisition of Donhad Pty Ltd from Valmont and the acquisition of CQMS Group (now 'CR') from Quadrant Private Equity.
