I am a specialist adviser to clients in the energy and resources sectors, with deep experience in M&A, joint venture governance and project development across the full project life cycle. I focus on gas and minerals, having advised on several of Australia's major LNG and mining projects.

With over a decade of experience across both in-house and private practice roles, I bring a commercial and pragmatic approach to complex transactions. Clients value my ability to cut through complexity and deliver clear, actionable advice.

  • ConocoPhillips: Longterm adviser on its APLNG and Otway investments in Australia on joint venture governance, acquisitions and project development.
  • Rio Tinto: Ongoing adviser on its Queensland energy and aluminium businesses, including acquisitions and divestments, project development and joint venture governance. 
  • Peabody Energy: Advised on all aspects of the acquisition of the Wards Well mining tenements from Stanmore Resources for up to US$500m, including infrastructure sharing agreements. I also advise Peabody on project development and procurement, including gas development and power projects.
  • Albemarle Corporation: Advised on its US$1.3bn acquisition of a 60% interest in the Wodgina lithium mine and formation of the MARBL Lithium Joint Venture with MRL, and US$480m sale of a 40% interest in the Kemerton lithium facility. This was the 2020 Energy and Resources Deal of the Year, Australasian Law Awards.
  • GLNG: Longterm adviser on its gas transmission assets, gas trading and joint venture governance. 
  • Anglo American: Advised on project development, joint venture governance and acquisitions and divestments, including on the sale of its Australian steelmaking coal business. 
  • New Hope Group: Advised on all aspects of the divestment of its Bridgeport Energy oil and gas business. 
  • Epic Energy: Trusted adviser to Epic on its gas transmission portfolio, including gas transportation agreements and regulatory compliance.
  • Senex Energy: Advised on the divestment of the Atlas to Reedy Creek Pipeline, including negotiation of a long-term gas transportation agreement. 
  • Visy / Pratt Holdings: Advised on the divestment of the 109MW gas-fired Smithfield Power Station to Iberdrola Australia.
