I have acted for a diverse range of clients in the aeronautical and retail sectors, the not-for-profit area, and the health and allied professional industries, among others.

I have a particular interest in developing client-specific structuring arrangements, and have been involved in numerous corporate restructures. This has given me the valuable broad-based expertise required to address all implications of restructuring proposals.

Career highlights

  • Acted in several major public M&A transactions, including a $400 million acquisition concerning the privatisation of government assets, simultaneous acquisition of multiple business interests, and the acquisition of both physical and online retail businesses
  • Managed extensive lodgement and liaison processes with various state and territory revenue offices to address all duty liabilities arising from a corporate restructure and its subsequent $870 million merger, including successful lodgement of submissions to obtain relevant exemptions
  • Completed a secondment to the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation in the lead up to the 2018 Commonwealth Games, applying my commercial law experience to various legal issues relevant to the hosting of such a significant sporting event
