The International Bar Association's Annual Conference brings together the worldwide legal fraternity, with more than 4,000 professionals set to descend on Sydney next month.
Between 8-13 October, the global voice of the profession will ring out from Australia as the best and brightest gather in the harbour city to exchange knowledge, share perspectives, harmonise practices, and create and renew professional networks.
Offering a unique mix of working sessions, panel discussions and networking events, the conference shapes the development of international law reform and maps out the future of the legal profession.
This event offers a significant opportunity for future-focused, innovative Australian law firms to participate in the next evolution of the sector.
With previous events being held in Washington and Vienna, this prestigious occasion is a recognition of the capabilities and regard held for Australian law, and MinterEllison won’t be taking a back seat.

MinterEllison’s own Peter Bartlett is the Treasurer of the IBA and Deputy Chair of the Conference Host Committee. Peter is also fulfilling the role of Council Liaison Officer for the conferences Asia Pacific Regional Forum.
Brendan Clark, from MinterEllison’s Brisbane office, is also set to chair the Water Law Committee as it tackles a range of topics including national water allocation, quality protection systems, rights in international rivers, and hydroelectric development.
