Leading law firm MinterEllison has advised CIMIC Group’s subsidiary Pacific Partnerships on acquiring the development rights to the 300 MW Hopeland Solar Farm which is within the Southern Queensland Renewable Energy Zone. This is the second large-scale solar project Pacific Partnerships has recently successfully acquired.

Hopeland Solar Farm will support Queensland's energy transformation, having the potential to generate electricity to power 100,000 average-sized homes in the region.

Pacific Partnerships completed the purchase of the rights to the project from Renewable Energy Partners, a Brisbane developer of renewable projects.  Pacific Partnerships will develop, invest, and manage the engineering, procurement and construction of the solar farm. Commencement of operations and renewable energy generation is expected in 2026.
