MinterEllison is the winner in the category, Energy & Resource Deal of the Year for its work on Mineral Resources sale of lithium assets to Albemarle Corporation. MinterEllison acted for Albemarle in relation to its US$1.3 billion acquisition of a 60% interest in Mineral Resources Limited's Wodgina Lithium Project in Western Australia, and formation of a joint venture with Mineral Resources.

MinterEllison also won the category for International Deal of the Year, for its work on Amcor’s US Listing and acquisition of Bemis to form a dual listed $25 billion global packaging industry leader. MinterEllison advised Bemis on the complex multi-step transaction which was one of the largest transactions of its type in Australia.

In addition, lawyer Alex Other-Gee was recognised with an excellence award for Young Private Practice Lawyer of the Year (30 or under). This award recognises Alex as one of the top five private practice lawyers 30 and under in the country.
