MinterEllison wins Financial Times Innovative Lawyer awards

Leading independent Australian law firm MinterEllison has walked away with two awards at the prestigious Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Awards last night.

The firm won the Innovative Lawyers in Dispute Resolution category for the Ben Roberts Smith v Nine defamation case.

Strategic and innovative application of Australian defamation laws and the use of truth defence was a stand-out in the submission, in what is known as one of the world’s largest and most complex defamation cases.

The firm was also a winner of the Innovation in Knowledge & Data category for their development of MinterEllison Advice Generator – an AI-powered content creator, that develops a first draft of advices based on short prompts.

  • Innovation in Digital Tools for MinterEllison Lightstream.  A great fusion team of Project Solutions and Tech Consulting to build a tool, that came to life off the back of Ben Fox's secondment to Anglo American, that uses advanced analytics to review contract data to spot risks or patterns for our clients before they became problems.
  • Innovation in People and Skills for our industry-first, internal crypto currency Mintcoin© rewarding our Digital Academy and innovation training.
  • Most Innovative Law Firm in Asia Pacific.
