In a world-first for any major sporting event, we are providing a fully outsourced legal and brand protection service to the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC).

This service delivery model is unique and in keeping with our 2020 strategy, represents a progressive, new wave of thinking. At the end of the Games, we will be the only law firm in Australia, and quite possibly the world, with complete end to end major event project experience.

A team of our highly credentialed sporting and events legal staff have been embedded within GOLDOC as service providers in the lead up to, during and after the Games.

Advice is being delivered across a broad range of areas, including sponsorship, brand protection, broadcasting, ticketing, licensing, ceremony production, venue use, overlay construction and major procurements.

GC2018 is a $2billion project that will see the Gold Coast host the largest sporting event Australia will see this decade.

Our partnership with GC2018 continues a proud tradition as the chosen advisor to some of Australia's most significant sporting events. These include the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, Gold Coast Indy, Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, Rugby World Cup 2003 and the 2001 Brisbane Goodwill Games.
