I enjoy delivering value and meeting business outcomes by leveraging my expertise in transforming procurement processes and systems and leading complex strategic sourcing and negotiation activities. I have a high degree of expertise in sourcing both direct and indirect categories, in particular, Technology, MRO, Professional & Engineering Services, Logistics and Travel.

My accomplishments are underpinned by a strong sense of purpose, commitment to the highest ethical standards and values, fostering collaborative and genuine relationships and ongoing personal development. I am genuinely focussed to be a trusted advisor to my clients, doing things differently whilst upholding integrity, and have a constant endeavour to make procurement change sustainable.

My career has spanned 12 years working in strategic roles with global top tier consulting firms, as well as procurement leadership positions within industries such as Aerospace and Public Sector.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology with an MBA (Hons.).

Career highlights

  • As the Head of General Procurement for an aerospace giant, led a team of experienced category management professionals (10) to meet the strategic and compliance objectives of the company by contributing sustainable procurement savings and proactively managing requirements of over 1500 business users across several locations in Australia and New Zealand. Coached, trained and mentored 10 direct reports, overseeing monthly KPI reviews and professional development for Purchasing Officers and Sourcing Specialists.
  • Led transformation of Procurement and Supplier Governance Management capabilities (processes, tools and templates) by designing and implementing a robust supplier management framework and system that laid the foundation for strategy definition, segmentation, performance management, pre-qualification, development and collaboration for management of over 5000 suppliers. The framework and system exceeded the requirements for the latest ISO 9001:2015 accreditation and was fully integrated with the company’s ERP system.
  • Led the performance & benefits management for Australia’s first Procurement Hub in the higher education sector, that aimed to aggregate sourcing demands across 17 universities to deliver sustainable procurement value. As the Hub Performance Manager, defined the overarching performance and change management framework and acted as the key liaison point for CPOs / CFOs across the participant universities. This project was awarded the CIPS 2020 Public Procurement Award.
  • Conducted a number of procurement diagnostic studies for various clients to identify procurement opportunities through maturity assessment and spend analysis.
  • Drove continuous improvement projects to increase procurement organisation capability. Developed, trained, and implemented Strategic Sourcing Methodology, conducted supplier, contract, and user enablement for SAP / Ariba, and developed and rolled out Category Management programs for various clients in the Energy, Resources and Education sector.
