With over a decade of experience in employment, safety, and industrial relations law, I have represented a broad range of clients including employees and trade unions and previously led a criminal and domestic violence litigation practice. My litigation experience covers all State and Federal Courts and Industrial Tribunals in Queensland.
My practice spans advisory and litigation across employment, safety, and industrial relations, including enterprise agreement bargaining and approval, industrial action and disputes, union right of entry, unfair dismissal, general protections breaches, discrimination, bullying and harassment, sexual harassment, performance management, underpayments, and workplace health and safety. I also conduct investigations as part of MinterEllison's Workplace Investigations Unit and regularly appear as a solicitor advocate.

- Appeared as solicitor advocate on behalf of Stanwell Corporation Limited and an individual Respondent in the Fair Work Commission for a successful jurisdictional objection that was raised by an employer in response to an application by an independent contractor who alleged that their employment had been terminated in contravention of the general protections provisions of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Qld).
- Appeared in the Fair Work Commission on behalf of Illawarra Coal Holdings and successfully resisted an unfair dismissal application by an employee who was dismissed for reasons of redundancy.
- Instructed senior and junior counsel in the Federal Court of Australia on behalf of 5 entities of Peabody Energy and 7 individual Respondents in a matter that resulted in a costs order being ordered against a self-represented litigant who had brought proceedings against an employer and numerous individual respondents under multiple pieces of legislation, as well as in the successful defence of an appeal against that costs order.
- Led a complex 3-stage investigation into serious allegations made by numerous complainants against a senior ethical standards unit investigator employed by a Government Department.
- Advised Australian Country Choice on the development of a compliant return on investment agreement for employees who work in Australia under a visa.
- Successfully defended an underpayment claim on behalf of ADL Lawyers which was brought by a worker who was performing their duties overseas.
- Provided ongoing advice to Mt Arthur Coal in relation to a long-running negotiation, and subsequent approval, of an enterprise agreement.
- Provided advice to ActivUs Alliance that resulted in the approval of a greenfields enterprise agreement for a large civil infrastructure project in South East Queensland.
