I am a construction and infrastructure lawyer, dedicated to facilitating the successful procurement and execution of major infrastructure projects. I provide tailored legal expertise to navigate the complexities of project delivery, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks, and provide strategic guidance to drive project success and achieve favourable outcomes.

I have a deep understanding of the complexities and nuances associated with high-profile infrastructure projects, having worked on some of the most significant infrastructure projects in Australia.

I advise on all project phases, including providing initial strategic advice, developing procurement structures, drafting and negotiating major project documents and advising on contract administration issues.

I am committed to helping my clients navigate the legal challenges associated with infrastructure development, offering practical and workable solutions that help them to achieve their strategic objectives. My experience acting for both Government and the private sector provides a 360-degree market view, allowing me to anticipate issues and deliver strategic, commercially informed advice.

 

Career highlights

  • Rail: Advised John Holland on its successful bid for the Sydney Metro West Line-wide ITC Contract; acted for TransitLinx on the Suburban Rail Loop Package G; acted for the State on Melbourne MR5 Trains; and advised ARTC on its Melbourne Airport Rail Project and dual procurement of the Botany Rail Duplication Project and Cabramatta Loop Project. Also advised on light rail, including advised the D&C JV on Canberra Light Rail Stage 2A; and the successful consortium on the Sydney Light Rail PPP.
  • Road: Advised TfNSW on all aspects of the procurements of the New Richmond Bridge, the Warringah Freeway Upgrade, and the Western Harbour Tunnel; and advised Sydney Motorway Corporation on all three stages of WestConnex including drafting and negotiating the Project Deeds and providing strategic advice on the disaggregate procurement structure. Also advised John Holland and Bouygues on the Torrens to Darlington North South Corridor T2D, the largest road project procured by the SA Government.
  • Student Accommodation: Advised UTAS in relation to the procurement of its student accommodation project.
  • Social Housing: Advised the NSW Aboriginal Land Council in relation to its bid for Phase 2 of the NSW Social and Affordable Housing Fund.
  • Residential Development: Advised on Mirvac's partnership with Scape Australia on the PBSA component of the landmark redevelopment of Blackwattle Bay.
  • Other Government: Advised Taronga Zoo on the procurement of the cable car and construction packages for the replacement of the Sky Safari; and advised the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water on the Lord Howe Island Critical Infrastructure Program.
