Ian leads Minter Ellison's Construction, Engineering & Infrastructure Division and is recognised as a leading construction lawyer by Chambers Global 2011 and Asia Pacific Legal 500, and Australia's Best Lawyers.

Ian is a strategic problem solver who applies over 25 years' experience working on construction and infrastructure projects across Australia to provide innovative and client focussed outcomes. He regularly acts for governments at all levels, large corporate organisations, owners, consultants, contractors and subcontractors at the “front end” of construction projects and in the management and resolution of disputes.

He has a comprehensive understanding of Government processes and requirements and has extensive experience interfacing between governments and the private sector to achieve mutually agreeable outcomes.

Ian's expertise encompasses a broad range of sectors including:
