Over her 19 years with MinterEllison, Michelle has developed expertise in relation to risk management, financial transactions, partnerships and joint ventures, compliance, the Australian Consumer Law, corporate fraud, corporate recovery, contractual disputes, property and leasing disputes, and shareholder disputes.
Michelle has acted in major litigation before the Federal Court and Supreme Court of Victoria and has acted in a wide range of multi-million dollar damages claims under the Trade Practices Act (now the Australian Consumer Law).
In addition to her broad expertise in commercial matters, Michelle has specific expertise in disputes involving commercial and retail property, the higher education sector and information technology and trade practices claims. In addition, she has recently acted in a number of proceedings before the Australian Competition Tribunal involving applications for review of determinations of the Australian Energy Regulator.
