Nicole assists in management of issues that arise in delivery of a project. She also acts in pursuing and defending payment claims made under the NSW Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act.

Once contractual frameworks are complete, Nicole helps parties establish any tools required to administer contracts, such as pro-forma notices and administration manuals, and workshops to assist in administering the executed contracts. She also advises on other issues that arise during the delivery phase.

Nicole has been involved in numerous significant infrastructure development projects that have changed and enhanced our cities. Infrastructure delivery is a key focus of Nicole's practice, whether urban renewal, economic infrastructure (roads and ports), social infrastructure and process plants. Her expertise covers the project’s entire lifespan from structuring, tendering, contract preparation and negotiation through to implementation and delivery phase advice and administration.

Nicole's broad and deep expertise spans the complex mesh of legislation, codes, policies and the plethora of case law that is critical to successful project delivery throughout every phase of delivery of a project.

Major urban development and redevelopment are amongst Nicole’s key strengths having acted as a long-term advisor on landmark residential, commercial and mixed-use projects at King Street Wharf, Discovery Point at Wolli Creek and at Rhodes. Nicole has also advised on many significant Agreements for Lease, including the American Express and Macquarie Bank agreements for lease at King Street Wharf and State Street at Mid City Centre, and other property related contracts such as heads of agreement, development agreements, project management agreements, and facilities management contracts.

Nicole has detailed and wide-ranging expertise in procurement and delivery strategies across diverse infrastructure and development projects. She advises both government and the private sector on all aspects of tendering, including probity issues, as well as helping parties determine their risk profile. This includes workshops with both the legal and commercial teams. Nicole also advises on delivery strategy options and, once agreed, will work with the client to implement the strategy and deliver the project.

Nicole has forged a leading reputation for her expertise in public-private partnerships, advising a range of consortia on numerous high profile projects. Dealing widely in economic (transport) and also social PPPs, her projects include Sydney’s Cross City Tunnel, the M7, Lane Cove Tunnel, Airport Link and the Mundaring Water Treatment Plant. Nicole’s PPP practice spans review and advice on the Project Deed, bid strategy, and preparation of the design & construction and operation & maintenance subcontracts.
