Richard Crawford is an experienced construction and public-private partnerships lawyer having advised on numerous government and infrastructure projects in Australia and the United Kingdom.

In the UK, Richard negotiated project documentation on private finance initiative projects for schools, colleges, hospitals, prisons, roads, rail and sports and leisure centres, including the London Underground PPP and the University College London Hospital.

In Australia, Richard’s PPP projects include road, rail and social infrastructure such as hospitals, schools and prisons.

Richard also acts in construction disputes for property development and large-scale infrastructure projects. His expertise includes acting in adjudications and court challenges involving the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 1999.

Some long-standing clients include Bovis Lend Lease, CBA, Department of Defence, Leighton Contractors, Royal Bank of Scotland, Spotless, and Thiess.

A former civil engineer, Richard brings heightened industry knowledge to his expert legal practice. He is a regular speaker on construction and PPP-related topics on the conference circuit.
