17 August 2012

Two Minter Ellison partners were recognised as pre-eminent individual lawyers at the inaugural Euromoney Legal Media Group Australasia Women in Business Law Awards, held in Sydney last night.

Pamela Jack took out the award for Australasian Construction lawyer and Pamela Madafiglio for Australasian Insurance & Reinsurance lawyer.

The awards recognise female lawyers who have become influential and leading professionals in their chosen field and also celebrate efforts to promote gender diversity, innovation, work-life balance, pro bono work and talent management by law firms in Australia and New Zealand.

Minter Ellison was very well represented across all the Award categories. Amongst the shortlisted finalists for Individual Awards were partners Mitzi Gilligan (Energy and natural resources), Amanda Watt (Workplace relations, employment and safety), Angela Schooneman (Real estate), Virginia Briggs (Real estate) and Joanne Dunne (Tax).

Our associated firm in New Zealand, Minter Ellison Rudd Watts, won best New Zealand law firm and also awards for best firm in Auckland and in Wellington.
