Our people, our community
|
|
Here are the thoughts of some of our people who have become involved with our Community Investment initiatives:
'Being a 'big sister' for the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program is one of the best things I've ever done. We have a lot of fun together and I get to pretend to be a kid again. I've learnt to roller blade and ice-skate. Last week I used my oven for the second time to bake a chocolate cake!' Amanda Watt, Partner |

'Through the PILCH clinics I've had an opportunity to practise in areas of law that I otherwise wouldn't have experienced. The work has been challenging at times but ultimately rewarding and enriching.' Kylie Diwell, Senior Associate |

'Being involved in the Homeless Persons Legal Service has been an enlightening and rewarding experience. I have also had the satisfaction of participating in a working bee with a committed team of colleagues to improve facilities where our service is delivered.' Linda Schild, Legal Secretary |

'My involvement in our Community Investment Program projects in Brisbane has given me the skills, knowledge and opportunities that I might not otherwise have gained. I can see my work having a direct and immediate impact on real life issues and people.' Rob Reed, Senior Associate |

'After being a Minter Ellison volunteer lawyer for the homeless persons' legal clinic I am now on a part-time secondment as the coordinator of the Homeless Persons' Legal Clinics throughout Brisbane ... the diversity and challenges of the two quite different types of work is extremely rewarding.' Sara Finch, Lawyer |
