Biography
Philip joined Minter Ellison in 1999 having been a partner practising in planning and property development law for more than eight years. He is a qualified town planner and worked in that discipline for ten years before commencing legal practice.
Philip is a key member of the firm's Real Estate division, which provides a 'concept to completion' service. As one of a number of qualified town planners in the division, Philip specialises in the provision of advice to property developers on retail, mixed-use, commercial and residential projects. The combination of his town planning experience and legal qualifications enables him to work seamlessly with a diverse range of expert consultants. All stakeholders in property development projects – from planners and developers to architects and government authorities – find his ability to talk their language a distinct advantage in ensuring the successful development of property projects (see Philip's track record for examples).
He often appears as solicitor advocate or counsel, or as junior counsel to specialist planning senior counsel.
