Biography
Peter is a partner in the firm’s Projects and Finance Division. Prior to joining Minter Ellison he spent a large part of his career based in Vietnam and London.
Peter has extensive experience acting for participants in the development and financing of greenfield projects (including BOTs, BOOTs and BTs) particularly in the areas of energy, oil and gas, telecommunications and large complex infrastructure projects.
Whilst in Vietnam, Peter worked on most of the leading deals developed in the country, including acting on all of the power stations which were completed using foreign direct investment. Having spent five years working in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, he has a deep understanding of the law of Vietnam, Vietnamese negotiation techniques and the processes required to successfully close large infrastructure projects in Vietnam.
Peter is admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Victoria, the Federal and High Courts of Australia and the High Court of England and Wales; and was a licensed foreign lawyer in Vietnam (1996 to 2001).
