Biography
Jenny practises in the insurance area with particular expertise in litigious matters, including litigation in the Supreme Court, County Court, Magistrates' Court and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Claims Tribunal.
Her practice includes acting for insurers in disputed claims by policyholders (including claims denied for fraud), acting for defendants in claims for personal injuries and for both plaintiffs and defendants for property damage claims. She provides advice on all types of insurance policies, including life insurance, public and product liability, contract works, ISR, financial risks, workers' compensation, domestic and motor vehicle. She has extensive experience in advising insurers on indemnity under insurance policies, handling of claims, policy wordings, underwriting and reinsurance. She also advises insureds as to their entitlements under their insurance policies and their obligations in relation to insurance pursuant to contracts.
Jenny joined Minter Ellison in 1988. She worked as in-house legal counsel at Vero Insurance Limited for four years on secondment from 1996 to 2000. She acts for a number of major insurers including GIO General, Allianz Australia Insurance, AMP Life Limited and Vero Insurance Limited.
