Biography
Ron specialises in mergers and acquisitions, advising on a wide range of public and private company contested and uncontested takeovers including those involving managed investment schemes.
For example, he acted on the Australian aspects of the A$67 billion Astra-Zeneca merger and the sale of AMP's interest in the Tomago Aluminium Smelter and its interest in the Gove Alumina mine.
Ron also has extensive experience in prospectuses, capital raisings and due diligence. For example he acted for AMP on the sell down of its Cable & Wireless Optus shares, and for Burns Philip on its worldwide legal due diligence required by its major shareholders and financiers.
He is a member of the Corporations Law Committee of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
