Biography
Julian is recognised as one of the leading legal advisers to the construction, engineering and project development industries in the Asia Pacific region. He has 18 years' experience in negotiating and managing major projects, project administration and dispute management. Julian regularly advises contractors, proprietors, governments, financiers, consultants and insurers on their relationships, risk allocation and risk management strategies, claims and dispute resolution.
Julian has been based in the Sydney office since June 2005 after working in Hong Kong for 10 years, including three years as head of Minter Ellison's Asian construction practice. In the past 18 months, Julian has been heavily involved in a wide range of projects and disputes in NSW, including various Security of Payment Act matters. He is also advising the developer of a US$2 billion integrated casino resort complex in Singapore on its fast-track procurement arrangements.
