Biography
Pamela joined Minter Ellison in October 2001. Formerly a senior partner with Phillips Fox, Pamela is one of Australia's pre-eminent construction lawyers, with particular expertise in construction litigation, alternative dispute resolution and project packaging and documentation. Pamela was attracted by the firm's ability to offer construction clients the full range of corporate and commercial skills, particularly in areas such as structuring and project finance.
Over the last 25 years, she has been a key adviser on many of Sydney's landmark projects including:
- the A$460 million redevelopment of the terminal at Sydney International Airport
- the redevelopment of the Prince of Wales' hospital site
- King Street Wharf
- infrastructure projects including the Cronulla sewerage facility and auxiliary spillway works at Warragamba Dam
- Parramatta Rail Link.
She has represented developers, contractors and owners in disputes, including a major claim relating to the failure of gearboxes in a slurry pump installation in BHP's Escondida Copper Mine in Chile. Pamela is a trained mediator and regularly provides mediation services.
In June 2004, Pamela was appointed to the National Partnership Board, in recognition of her strategic planning and management ability.
