Biography
Having recently returned from Hong Kong where he built and led the firm's Asian Technology, Communications and Outsourcing practice, Anthony is now based in Sydney where he leads the firm's Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Industry Group.
Anthony specialises in outsourcing, strategic sourcing, and major technology, media and communications projects. His experience includes advising on some of Asia Pacific's largest outsourcing and major technology projects. He has led teams advising on multinational projects across Asia primarily for international corporations acquiring technology and telecommunications systems but also for technology and telecommunications companies, providing him with a strong understanding on the commercial drivers for both sides.
Anthony also has particular expertise in assisting US based technology companies expanding their businesses into Asia and on IT related aspects of joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and divestitures.
Anthony comes from a strong IT background having formerly been a Senior Attorney with IBM Global Services, working for both IBM Australia and IBM GSA on major strategic outsourcing, systems integration, application development and e-business transactions.
In the 2007 edition of Chambers Global Asia, he is ranked as a leading individual in IT, singled out by peers and clients particularly for his role in developing the firm's TMT practice. He has also been consistently recognised as a leading individual in technology, and telecommunications in all of the leading independent legal directories and is listed as an expert in Information Technology in the Legal Media Group Guide to the Worlds Leading Technology, Media and Telecommunications Lawyers.
Anthony is a Solicitor of the High Courts of Hong Kong and Australia, and Solicitor and Barrister of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
He is a former lecturer on communications law at the University of Technology, Sydney.
