Biography
John, a partner in our Finance division, is a highly-regarded specialist in corporate, M&A and leveraged finance.
His strong track-record in complex domestic and international finance transactions involving acquisitions, listings and corporate debt packages includes acting for the large banking syndicate on the award winning A$3.56 billion acquisition of Symbion Health by Primary Health Care. John has advised on many of Australia's other big ticket and middle market financings, including Advent Equity Partners/Genesis Care, TPG Telecom/PIPE, CSG/Konica Minolta Business Solutions, Sekisui House, Veda Advantage, Cemex/Rinker, Coles, PBL, Affinity Health, Bras N Things, Rebel Sport and Cellarmasters.
John acts for both financiers (including ANZ, CBA, NAB, Westpac and several other global banks) and borrowers and has built a reputation for his commercial approach and focus on deal fundamentals.
John's expertise has been recognised by Chambers Global (2008, 2009, 2010) where he received an individual ranking as a leading lawyer for acquisition finance.
