Biography
Paul is a partner in the firm's Competition and Regulatory group, advising predominantly on the access and restrictive trade practices provisions of the Trade Practices Act, including misuse of market power, market sharing and price fixing. He also advises clients in the telecommunications sector on regulatory issues under Australia's Telecommunications Act, Broadcasting Services Act and Radiocommunications Act.
He advises on and obtains clearances from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) for clients in a wide range of industries including telecommunications, broadcasting and manufacturing.
Paul joined Minter Ellison in 1997 with experience including two years as Associate to a judge of the High Court of Australia. He has worked in the London office of Minter Ellison for 18 months and assisted on various European competition law matters.
Paul is co-author of the Australian chapter in the international publication Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions (Kluwer) and is a regular monthly columnist on legal issues for Australian Telecom. Paul co-authored the Australian chapter in the 2002 edition of IFLR's Telecoms.
