MinterEllison advises Evans Dixon on acquisition of Fort Street

MinterEllison has acted for Evans Dixon Limited (Evans Dixon, ASX:ED1) on the $53.9 million acquisition of Fort Street Advisers (Fort Street), and a 30% interest in the issued share capital of Fort Street Capital.

Evans Dixon is a leading ASX listed private wealth, funds management and capital markets advisory services firm, providing a diverse range of financial services and high quality market leading financial advice for private clients, institutional clients and corporates. Evans Dixon currently employs over 700 staff located in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane and New York City.

Fort Street is an independent corporate advisory business operating in Australasia with 25 years' experience advising clients across a broad range of investment banking services. Since its establishment in 2009, Fort Street has successfully executed more than 70 advisory mandates across a range of sectors. It is one of Australia's leading boutique corporate advisory firms, and is the trusted advisor to a range of clients across mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets and debt advisory. The business will be merged with the Evans Dixon Capital Markets business to create Evans Dixon Corporate & Institutional division, enhancing diversification of earnings across the group and providing a strong platform for long-term growth.

MinterEllison advised Evans Dixon on its recent initial public offering and listing on ASX. The firm previously advised Evans and Partners on its merger with Dixon Advisory to create Evans Dixon which completed in February 2017.

MinterEllison advised Evans Dixon on all aspects of legal due diligence and completion of the transaction.
