Infrastructure and Renewable Energy Projects
Powerlink: Advising on the real property and tenure aspects of the ~$5B 'CopperString 2032 Project' - a ~1,100km, high voltage electricity line to be constructed between Townsville and Mt Isa.
Stanwell: Advising on the real property and tenure aspects of various renewable energy projects in Queensland, including Wambo Wind Farm and the proposed CQ-H2 Central Queensland Renewable Hydrogen Project
Stockland: Advising on the tenure aspects and long-term licence agreements as part of the sale of its existing and in-development solar panel systems at 30 specified retail, industrial and workplace sites across Australia to Energy Bay.
Vestas: Advising on all land access and tenure aspects of a proposed Wind Farm development comprising a 1200MW wind farm, a 330kV electricity transmission line and substation.
Pacific Partnerships: Advising on all tenure and land access requirements as part of its acquisition and development of the 300MW Hopeland Solar Farm.
Capital transactions
AMP: Advised on the transfer of the AMP Capital Wholesale Office Fund portfolio comprising 11 commercial office properties in Sydney and Melbourne with an aggregate value of ~$7.7 billion.
Dexus: Advised on:
- Dexus's bid to acquire a portfolio of 45 industrial and logistics properties across Australia for ~$3.5 billion, part of the largest real estate transaction in Australia in 2021.
- The disposal of the 'Blue Tower' and 'The Annex' at 12 Creek Street, Brisbane (~$420 million), the 'Gold Tower' at 10 Eagle Street, Brisbane (~$285 million) and the 'Southgate Complex' at South Bank, Melbourne (~$580 million)t.
Stockland: Advised Stockland on the disposal of over 10 large sub-regional shopping centres between 2019 – 2024 (aggregate value ~$1.3 billion), including 'Stockland Cleveland', 'Stockland Caloundra', 'The Pines' and 'Stockland Gladstone' shopping centres.
Leasing transactions
PricewaterhouseCoopers: Advised on:
- The leasing aspects of PwC's divestment of its government consulting business to Scyne Advisory, including sub-leases and requisite consents for PwC's offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
- The extension and variation of PwC's head office lease at One International Towers, Barangaroo and its office lease at 480 Queen Street, Brisbane.
Powerlink: Advised on an agreement to lease a warehouse facility to be constructed at the Australia TradeCoast Industrial Precinct at Pinkenba (45,000m²).
Fortius: Advised on the anchor tenant lease to Anglo American Metallurgical Coal of its Australian head office premises at 201 Charlotte Street, Brisbane (~8,000m²).
MaxiTRANS: Advised on its agreement to lease a custom designed and built manufacturing and storage facility at Carole Park (~13,500m²).
