I have gained my experience from acting as a senior consultant within large international professional service firms and as an executive of large financial institutions. Key divisions where I have had direct experience include Business Banking, Wealth Management (Product), HR, Program Delivery, Group Strategy and Legal and Group Governance.
I have a wealth of experience dealing with a range of key stakeholders including executive leadership, C-suite executives, regulators and significant boards resulting in the provision of quality advice, insight and enhancements to business and risk frameworks, business control environments and risk culture.
I am an Australian Chartered Accountant and I hold a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Newcastle and an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management.
- Successful management and governance of four major client remediation programs for a division of a major Australian financial institution with a total financial budget of $36m (fees for no service, quality of advice and high risk advisor work). The program represented a key executive leadership team oversighted project for the client. Successfully managed an end-to-end regulatory visitation and review for a key division of a major Australian financial institution. Deliverables included end-to-end project leadership, a detailed strategic pre visit plan, submission of all pre visit information requested and data survey deliverables, preparation of regulator session interview packs for senior leaders and all governance, leadership and reporting for senior management.
- Acted as a trusted non-financial risk advisor to four divisions of a major Australian financial institution. The work involved successfully managing the delivery of all non-financial risk and compliance governance, risk planning, non-financial risk reporting and all enforceable undertaking remedial action plan deliverables.
- Provided a comprehensive non-financial risk analysis regarding the inflow of a material customer portfolio (1.9 million customers - $55bn in facilities) into a division of a major Australian financial institution. The work included identification of all key non-financial and financial risks, completion and implementation of all material non-financial risk framework artefacts and risk governance activities, analysis of key change implications including material execution and delivered risks covering all material non-financial and financial impacts and analysis of key credit risk implications.
