I am a trusted adviser to my clients on their public and private M&A transactions, capital raisings, strategic joint ventures, fund formations and a broad range of corporate, trust, commercial, governance and regulatory matters. With over 20 years' experience, I have particular expertise in the property, financial services and renewables sector.

I have a keen eye for detail, aptitude to solve complex issues and take a commercial, solutions-focused approach to understanding and achieving my clients’ needs. Having practised extensively in Southeast Asia, I am attuned to the professional and cultural subtleties of doing business throughout the region and am fluent in Malay and converse in Mandarin.

 Career highlights

  • Gamuda – acted on the acquisition of a portfolio of large-scale renewable energy projects in central Tasmania, representing a combined capacity of up to 600 MW of wind and solar energy generation and up to 600 MW of battery energy storage.
  • Gamuda – acted on the $220 million acquisition of the transport projects business and construction services arm of Downer EDI, which included road, rail and bridge design and construction assets, and advised on all aspects of the transaction.
  • AMP Capital Wholesale Office Fund – acted for AMP Capital Investors, the trustee of the $7.7 billion AMP Capital office fund, in relation to the ongoing management of the vehicle, unitholder meetings and subsequent change of trustee and manager to Mirvac.
  • International Towers Sydney at Barangaroo South – acted for one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds on its acquisition of a substantial interest in Tower One and Lendlease on the sale of a 11.1% stake in Tower Two, Tower Three and International House, as part of a joint sale process involving another seller with a total transaction value of $1 billion, to an international sovereign wealth fund.
  • Lendlease – acted on the sale of a 25% stake in their $1.8 billion retirement living business to Dutch pension fund, APG Asset management, including the restructure and sell-down of all components of the retirement living business, operating platform, development capabilities and associated development pipeline.
  • Magellan – acted on the IPO and listing of Magellan Global Trust on the ASX raising $1.6 billion and making the trust Australia’s largest listed investment trust to debut on the ASX.
  • Cromwell Property Group – acted on its defence of a hostile $520 million proportional off-market takeover bid from ARA Asset Management.
  • Worked with clients including Cromwell Property Group over the past decade, advising on secondary capital raisings – specifically entitlement offers, placements, security purchase plans and dividend reinvestment plans.
