Tammy Berghofer
Partner, Brisbane
With over 20 years’ experience in real estate law, I specialise in the seniors living sector. I advise landowners, developers, and operators on transactions and regulatory matters involving retirement villages, land lease communities, and aged care assets. My practice covers the full lifecycle—from development and acquisitions to scheme registrations, residence contracts, and compliance. I have extensive experience in the sale and purchase of retirement villages and aged care facilities across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia.

I’m passionate about helping clients navigate the evolving retirement villages and land lease regulatory landscape to achieve successful outcomes. My focus spans all aspects of purchasing, developing, operating, and selling seniors living assets, with a collaborative, commercially driven approach that ensures legal solutions align with broader business goals.

As a committed advocate for the future of seniors living, I regularly present at industry forums hosted by the Property Council of Australia, UDIA Queensland, The Urban Developer, and DCM Institute, sharing insights on emerging trends, policy reform, and sector innovation.
