Minter Ellison strengthens its links with PILCH in Australia
For almost 20 years, PILCH (the Public Interest Law Clearing House) has facilitated the provision of pro-bono legal assistance to the community in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. Minter Ellison lawyers have worked with PILCH in those states since the beginning.
Mitzi Gilligan, a partner in our Melbourne office, is the current President of PILCH in Victoria. An active participant in our pro-bono program since the day she joined Minter Ellison, Mitzi has been a regular volunteer at the Ozanam House outreach legal clinic run.
In Queensland, Minter Ellison Special Counsel Robert Reed is the current President of QPILCH. Rob has been a member of the QPILCH Board since its inception and also serves on the Board of the National Pro Bono Resource Centre.
This year, two of our lawyers are on 6-month secondments to PILCH. In Sydney, Kate Vaughan is assisting PILCH NSW with its referral service and law reform work. Anna Dorevitch, from our Melbourne office, is helping PILCH Victoria with its specialist service for non-profit organisations, PILCH Connect.
