Dan Williams

Dan Williams heads our Brisbane Human Resources and Industrial Relations practice. He has more than twenty five years of advisory and litigious experience across the full spectrum of workplace law.

Dan’s practice spans multiple sectors including mining and refining, energy, education, construction and infrastructure, manufacturing, professional services, transport, aviation and the waterfront.

He has broad expertise across industrial strategy and disputes, corporate transactions and workplace restructuring, bargaining, discrimination, dismissals, superannuation, workplace investigations, occupational health and safety, and all aspects of executive employment.

In the courts and tribunals, Dan has conducted a wide range of proceedings including management of strikes, unfair and unlawful dismissals, discrimination, contested union coverage, and coronial inquests.

Some long-standing clients include Rio Tinto, Peabody Energy, Glencore Copper, Wilmar, Campbell Brothers, Campbell Soups/Arnott's, News Limited, Queensland Rail, Aurizon, the Queensland Public Service Commission, Queensland Health and most Queensland universities.
