Based on the firm's performance to date, Mr Harrington is extremely confident the firm will see revenue growth in excess of 10% for FY18. This will be the first time in the firm's history that revenues will exceed $500M.
Robust performance over the past financial year with a focus on clients and delivering innovative and industry leading solutions have been key to MinterEllison’s success.

"This is a fantastic result. We have had a record year in all lines of business across our firm. Of particular note is our strong position in the deals sector where we are firmly ranked #2 in terms of the number of deals we have been involved in. This represents an increase of 17% from FY16. Our Infrastructure & Construction teams have also had a stellar year, as has our new Consulting line of business, which is growing from strength to strength," said Chief Executive Tony Harrington.

Mr Harrington pointed to the strategy of thinking beyond the law to create new and complementary service offerings as key to achieving this result. He also highlighted that innovation has been a driving force for MinterEllison, and the importance of business acumen and delivering client solutions in an innovative way to ensure it is at the core of the firm’s DNA.

"Our clients value our ability to offer end-to-end solutions designed to solve their complex problems. Extending our capability beyond legal services into kindred disciplines is a significant strategic initiative. This strategy is bringing us closer to our clients, and to our ambition of being our clients' best partner," added Mr Harrington.

As part of its drive to meet client needs, FY17 saw MinterEllison invest in a new consulting arm in a sector-transforming move with the acquisition of top tier boutique technology consulting firm ITNewcom. This reflects the firm’s strong multi-disciplinary approach to business and the delivery of seamlessly integrated legal and consulting services.

The Annual Report also profiles MinterEllison's commitment to corporate social responsibility, through a focus on initiatives that help break the cycles of disadvantage - especially for young people, people experiencing homelessness and those seeking access to justice.
