Quadrant Energy was formed in 2015 following the acquisition of the Australian oil & gas assets of Apache Corporation by a consortium of private equity owners that included Macquarie Capital, Brookfield and Wesfarmers. Prior to its sale to Santos, Quadrant Energy was the largest supplier of gas in the Western Australian market and the 5th largest supplier of oil in Australia.

Paul has acted as the general counsel and company secretary for all aspects of Quadrant Energy’s business since April 2018, and had a key role in the Quadrant Energy team through the sale process, including legal due diligence processes, advising on warranty verification and interim period compliance and preparing for deal completion. Paul was delighted to see Quadrant Energy become a part of Santos, being one of Australia’s largest independent listed oil & gas companies.
