Outside of work I enjoy helping the community and I am an active member in the Belrose Rural Fire Brigade.
Career highlights
- Stream and Finance Lead for a large Australian Federal Government Department advising on the annual budgeting process, the Finance, Budget & CLC reform initiative, Application and Services TCO costings, and project financial management and assurance.
- Engagement Lead for a large Australian Federal Government Department which comprised of a financial current state assessment whilst also developing and conducting a financial acumen survey to gauge areas within the Branch that require financial acumen uplift. Financial artefacts and workshops were developed to facilitate this change and financial assistance has continued to assist the Department with their financials whilst uplifting the APS skills to ensure a smooth transition.
- Engagement Lead for a large Australian Federal Government Department focusing on a Cloud Operations Considerations Assessment. A current state assessment of the Centralised Processing (CP) hosting services and costs was initially conducted. This engagement involved determining the impact on CP costs when migrating to cloud workloads, plus the impact this would have on the existing funding model and any associated financial offsets. We also provided Cloud Service Management options and recommendations as to how these services will be built, transferred and operated within the Defence Environment.
- Engagement lead for a key Australian federal agency advising them on the formulation of a three-year ICT Operating and Capital expenditure plan coupled with a ten-year asset life-cycle mapping.
- Engaged as Head of Finance at a large state owned utility to oversee the financial management of a large ERP implementation project that totalled $275m and spanned both external customers and internal finance systems.
- Financial Lead for a nation-wise healthcare provider fit-for-purpose review; the review focused on robust insights into current technology service delivery underpinned by market leading benchmark and performance data to identify and quantify opportunities to improve multi-factor performance.
