My practice covers all stages of Commonwealth projects. This includes advising in relation to project strategy; reviewing and drafting complex procurement and contractual documents; and providing legal support during commercial negotiations. I also work on discrete legal issues, for example, in relation to intellectual property rights, risk management and performance management. I am regarded by my clients for my strong understanding of Commonwealth government and the policy framework in which it operates.
- Advised on several significant Commonwealth procurements that were unparalleled in their field at the time, in terms of size, value and complexity.
- Facilitated various procurement arrangements that have been critical to delivering defence capabilities in Australia’s national interests.
- Acted for a Commonwealth entity over many years in relation to a set of major information and communications technology (ICT) procurements, which formed part of a strategic reform program.
- Helped various Commonwealth entities outsource their ICT capabilities, including advising on existing arrangements and developing the procurement strategy.
