Unfortunately, technology disputes are a growing trend

They can be overwhelming. Often, disputes arise due to a failure by a supplier to provide services and deliverables as expected. Or as a result of delays to ICT projects. Perhaps there’s been a misunderstanding about the scope and roles or commitments made during contract negotiation prove to be undeliverable. The key is to know your contract and understand your obligations, as well as those of the supplier. Ensure that all personnel involved in an ICT project understand the governance and reporting regime specified in the contract.

Whether you decide to remediate, terminate or litigate, keep in mind the overall business context and the relationship with the supplier, as any action will affect these. Aim to avoid unnecessary conflict and seek to resolve disputes appropriately.
