Tim Baumann
Special Counsel, Gold Coast
I lead the succession law practice in the Gold Coast office advising individuals and families in all aspects of succession planning, estate and trust administration and disputes. This has included a diverse client base of other professionals in the medical, legal and corporate/ business fields as well as charities and related corporations and trustee companies.

My practice includes not only complex estate planning and restructuring but incorporates advice and representation for executors and beneficiaries on difficult estate administration issues, will and trust disputes and guardianship and administration matters.

I have a broad litigation background, particularly in family provision claims, testamentary capacity and attorney/ guardianship disputes that allows me to bring a unique perspective to my succession planning work - adding value for clients by minimising the prospect of litigation through the adoption of pragmatic and bespoke restructuring and advice.

Undertaking pro bono work has remained an important part of my practice having regularly volunteered at various community legal centres including the homeless persons legal clinic and self-representation services of the District and Supreme Courts of Queensland and the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
